ACT
Test Content
The ACT contains questions in four main categories: English, Reading, Math, and Science. The test contains 215 multiple-choice questions with either four or five possible answers. There is no penalty for guessing. An optional Essay section is administered at the end of the exam but does not effect the overall composite score of the test.
Test Structure
English – 45 minutes – 75 Questions
Math – 60 Minutes – 60 Questions
Reading – 35 Minutes – 40 Questions
Science – 35 Minutes – 40 Questions
Essay (optional) – 40 Minutes
